I am in a tricky situation. Anything my wife has ever done in the past have been one-time things. This is the first time she wanted to get emotionally involved and she has. But the thing is, they haven't met in real life. We don't live far apart from this guy and they've been chatting for quite a few months and now they both want to make this happen but they're talking about making love in front of me, not just fucking.

It needs to work for both of you. However... what I'm reading from you says what you *don't* want, and not what you DO want.

For instance, you said that your forays into it in the past have been her idea. Describing what other people want, you said, "That's not me." So tell us what IS you. Tell us what you'd like to see happen.

My guess is that you've been un-willing to tell her specifically about your feelings. Perhaps it's time to change that.

This seems to be another female led situation, relatively rare, it's usually the husband that's keen to see his wife get fucked, but gets cold feet when it actually happens. You have yet to immerse yourself in the life style fully. You will get very little out of it if you're always on the fringes, half measures get you nowhere.
The only thing that concerns me a little is your wife's desire to 'make love' with her chosen stud in front of you. She's moving away from basic sex, fucking, and into potentially dangerous waters by becoming emotionally involved with this guy. She needs to separate the two things otherwise you might well be kissing your marriage goodbye!
I wholly agree with Christine though, you need openness and transparency, discuss with her what you want from this, and what she hopes to get also. Find some middle ground and go for it.
