I have been limp for just over two years now and I'm loving it. My wife knows my interests but she just seem like she is not receptive to the lifestyle yet. Here is why your plan may backfire. You're leaving your wife feeling unattractive, and that will shut them down faster than anything. Unless you can make her feel attractive, she will be too scared to put herself out there, and risk rejection.
