Moving on to part 2. My next ex that continued the trend of giving me the shaft as someone else gave her the literal shaft! And for my sake, remember that I was young, VERY naive in the ways of relationships (and women) and had very lite dating/sex experience prior to this. And so...
At the end of ex#1, I met ex#2 at a party. We hung out and bonded well and both seemed to be recovering from recent breakups. (Should've seen as red flag but hindsight....) We ended up dating and took things slow and didn't have sex for about a month or so in. And after that we would pretty much have sex everytime we met up.
She would occasionally talk about her frustrations with her ex "Dave" and it was obvious he broke up w her, and she didn't want him to leave. By the time I showed up, he was already in a relationship w someone else. Dave would still call her up and show up on occasion to talk w her in the driveway. And she also only wanted me to come drive (45min drive) to see her, and never wanted to come tomy ace. Claimed it made her feel that I was just pushing for sex.

I never said "go date Dave." But I told her I k we that she wasn't over him and maybe needed to date to see that. She seemed to just be offended by my offer mostly...

So some years and 2 gf later, i met and few years later married my wife.
