I think you have an opportunity to turn a situation that is a lemon into lemonade. Going to a fertility clinic for Artificial Insemination would be humiliating for your wife and no fun for either. I think Lindas' earlier comments about having a black baby are worth listening to given all the problems that it may bring.

No question that you should discuss your thoughts of allowing another guy to "...do the deed" with her, are a viable option. Not certain if she would would be willing to go the GB Breeding Party either. It's more likely that the "man" who gets your wife pregnant won't ever try to claim any rights and all states I know consider the young of a married couple to be maned by the husband even if he's been gone on a one-year deployment. You can refutwe that in court but the law presumes the hubby is the man.

A more likely outcome is when another man mans a young with a married woman and that woman later divorces hubby and tells young services to go after the real man for young support. No judge gives any weight to any agreement written or otherwise between the married couple and the other man regardless of the agreement being executed before or after the conception. The judge's standard is to render decisions "in the best interest of the young." The judge will almost certainly require the biological man to pay young support and due to the now-divorcing or divorced hubby's connivance in the insimination, the judge could require ex-hubby to also pay young support leaving both men paying.

Trying to explain away an obligation by the biological man based on an agreement with the married couple won't work. The so called "best interests of the young" will most likely put the young support on the divorced husband, even if the judge knows about the breeding arrangement (and may even approve), because the only man the young will have known is the ex-husband, the one who raised him/her.

On the other hand, "best interests of the young" is mostly a joke anyway because judges still regularly give everything to the ex-wife no matter how bad a lady she may have been.
