It is usually a big game-changer, but it depends on what your current relationship is like and how you and your wife relate to these sorts of things. I do know people for whom it is no big thing. But they are the minority and I'm guessing you are not one of them.
It will likely change you, your wife, and your marriage forever. But probably not in a huge way or in a bad way. It is kind of like your first kiss or first fuck.
