Listening/Recording sounds through walls?

Not exactly a cuckold situation, but this thread might be useful to others if any good advice comes out of it... Does anyone have any tips how to record sounds coming from the apartment next door?

I have some new neighbour(s) that moved in and I never realised that the bedroom walls were so thin (I guess my last neighbours were pretty quiet or never had sex!). By my best guess, it's just a layer of drywall on my side, and one more on their side. I can hear some pretty clear sounds when I put my hear to the wall... I'm franky impressed by how long they go at it. She's fairly vocal, but I can tell it's not fake. I'm in awe as no woman I've ever been with has ever made sounds like that with me. And when it gets towards the end of their sessions, I can distinctly hear him spanking her and then his ejaculation groans... and not just a couple seconds like when I cum, but it lasted for a good 15 seconds!

I'm not sure who they are, but I saw a couple get off on my floor that I didn't recognise; the guy was taller and darker, and she looked somewhat asian?

Anyway, I'm dying to record them the next time they are at it. It seems to be roughly weekly (so I guess maybe he doesn't live with her?)

Anyone ever have experience attaching a device to a wall? I have an old stethoscope that I tried putting to the wall, but that didn't help -- I suppose because they are meant for listening to much lower pitch sounds (like a a heartbeat), not higher frequency stuff. But then there's the added issue of attaching it to a recorder with a mic jack...

Can't really help, but getting turned on by LISTENING to sex is called "Ecouterism" (as against "Voyeurism", which is watching). Ecouterism is often referred to as " A poor man's voyeurism", but can be INCREDIBLY sexy.
My wife has mad a few audio tape recordings, & when she & her lover Martin have a deep french kiss, this tape is played--- she looking into his blue eyes, with this recording playing absolute filth--- things she would be TOO embarrased to mention "live". In any case with her mouth full of tongue, she can hardly talk, can she? Of course it's the same when she has her lips wrapped around Martin's blond love monster!

There is a device on the market in which you can hear conversations though a solid wall or window and you can also record from it -- but is this the done thing when they are not a party to this intrustion ?

I am an audio engineer and my first thought was a PZM microphone. A PZM is a mic that is made to be mounted on a surface like the inside of a grand piano lid, in order to pic up the remisterante sound coming from the surface in question. It doesnt look anything like a normal mic. It's about a 4 inch rectangle that made for surface mounting.

A company called Crown makes them and you use to be able to buy a private lared version of that same Crown mic at Radio Shack. This of course is not the best way to record, but unless you are going to drill through both walls, it's probably your best bet.

You could also drill a hole in the drywall on your side and put a microphone there. Cover it with a sticker when not in use, and patch with compound when you leave. Do not leave it unattended though

I bought a surface mic and was experimenting a bit with it a few months ago, but it didn't seem to be sensitive enough in the frequency band needed -- that or I need a better amplifier and filter. (I'm just running it through my laptop.)

In any case, I haven't missed much, as there has been a lot less "activity" next door in recent months.
