I thought some here might be interested in the history of all of the above and where and when all of this began. I'm not a sex scientist but most of my info is derived from actual experience. I'm not a pro author either, so bear with me.
Wife Swapping essentially started in the late 60's and up into the late 70's. I use the term wife swapping because at that time that's exactly what it was. The husbands pretty much ran the show and when couples finally met it was again the husbands who decided what, when and where. Most often the husbands were ready to fuck on the first meet and the wives didn't have much to say about it. In today's terms that might seem chauvinistic to many, and hell it probably was, however, that's the way it was. Social diseases were not a major concern in that period either and believe it or not, bisexuality among the women was very rare.
To find other wife swappers first you had to find a swingers correspondence magazine that listed permisteral ads, or in turn, run your own ad. The Polaroid camera was a great tool for this. One was hesitant to take naughty photos of their wife and then take the 35mm film down to the local havestore to get it developed, and until Polaroid cameras, I know some that did. Answering an ad or placing one was a time consuming and cumbersome process. It may take 6 to 8 weeks for replies via the publications forwarding service. Coded abbreviations accompanied the ads such as: Fr. (French or oral sex)...Gr. (Greek or anal)...etc..
Sometime during the late 70's and early 80's the term wife swapping was rarely used anymore and a more benign term surfaced, Swinging. Now we were all swingers...I guess it sounds less chavinistic. Now local communities started developing there own social swing clubs with regular events. Bisexuality among the women became more prevalent and accepted, if not encouraged. A swing meet with two couples might revolve around the husbands just watching the women getting it on...and off. However, even up into the mid 80's, locating and communicating with other swingers was still cumbersome. With the advent of permisteral computers and digital cameras...wow...everything changed!
Now, visit any swing websites and notice the cultural changes. About 90% of the women are bi or at least bicurious. Notice how many wives take their own photos...(via a mirror). Take notice that the text and content of the ad has been composed by the wife. Be careful to note how many wives reserve the option to meet select single males with the husbands approval. That brings up the next logical subject, cuckolding.
Chauvinism is no more. The wife's sexual gratification is of the utmost. Husbands experiencing the angst of inadequacy resign theirselves to the inevitable...the wife is going to need another man in the bedroom to be happy. The angst and tug of war that renders a potential cuck helpless is the need to see the wife satisfied...whilst trying to understand why the humilation of it all causes his erections. And gentlemen, (ladies too)...therein lies the bittersweet truth...offense...this site, and others like it, reek with it. It has become the fuel of it all.
