I appreciate the effort you have both put in here, but we are talking here of two worlds. This is a free site, paid for by the advertising which is attracted to the thousands of users which come here (pun not intended). Your books, even if successful are unlikely to sell in such volumes, the economics are different.

The price is not the issue. In order to get anything from Amazon, you have to reveal your identity in some way. A financial transaction can be traced back to you. Many of us would not like that, not because we have sad lives but because we don't (sorry to disappoint you Kitty). It simply is not worth the risk for the benefit. That is why I believe we shun pay sites. Not because they are virus laden but because we cannot usefully use them in the same way.

i here you peak... i would guess that this site is split about 50/50 along those lines...

I certainly do not fear amazon.com selling me out to whomever and revealing my idenity as they allow you to use screen names much like this site.. and in fact unless you are using an ip masking agent (i assume they exist) then your digital footprint is out their already with your isp. i see little differance than my isp knowing my browsing habbits as compared to amazon knowing my buying habbits. but i certainly get that the buying is a slightly more deliberate act.

anyway like i said i would guess this site is 30% people afraid of every click they make 50% people whom care but are not overly concered (i would be in this camp) and 20% people whom are in the open or not afraid to be in the open...

i have ruled out politics in my future on the basis i would not want to deal with people in general... future politicians may have a lot to ask for if isp's, sites like amazon and the like do not maintain neurtailty. this could produce some very comical scandals...

I can imagine a politically motivated weasel asking for it. I can also imagine that the NSA already has it (or now that I have even mentioned them, they soon will !). Browsing of course only suggests that someone used a particular ISP, it does not prove who did it. A cash payment is something more definitive, and no matter the name on the paypal account, someone or something real has to fill it in the first place. No, I prefer to stay below the radar. I think it's silly not to have a member of this site not be able to post that they wrote a cool cuckold story and it's available online. In fact it's pretty darn cool. My novels are full novels for people whom love to read hot stories of cuckolds and hot wife material. This site rocks and has many such smaller tales. If you prefer not to look please at least let good real people post the good work they have accomplished regarding such material.

I think peakmb is being a bit paranoid but whatever floats your boat. For the vast majoity of people buying an e book from amazon is as safe as buying something in cash at a local store.
