It was 12.40 am when Ann got dropped off by Brian.The girls were long in bed arelax,but as usual I waited up.She went into the lounge and sat,as I poured her a glass of wine in the kitchen.For a while she relaxed back,looking at the ceiling and asking after the girls.Then she looked at me.
"Chores done?"I smiled and nodded pleasantly,then waited.She knew what for.It was my small concession,my only concession.My reward for being a loving man and the family provider.Ann took a bored,deep breath.
"We went to the Italian on Broad Street",she said,wanting to get it over with as soon as possible.
"Then to the Regent Hotel.My....Brian says to compliment you on your choice of lingerie,as always."
"Thankyou," I whispered."Has he....is his wife still poorly?"
"He hasn't touched her for two months,if that's what you mean?"I nodded.
"He...must have been very...."
"Loving!"Ann interrupted,"Yes,he was very loving,as always with me,poorly wife or not!"
"Of course",I replied,blushing a little,"How could he not be".At this,Ann mellowed a bit and smiled at me.
"He had me three times at the hotel,three wonderful,wonderful times and I love him very much".At that,she got up to go to her bedroom.Pausing at the doorway,she decided to give me a little extra reward.
"I'll leave them on the floor outside your bedroom",she smiled,"White silk,filled with his love".
