Try not to add insult to injury here. You are in a hole. Stop digging. By all means write your own story but don't add any more to this.

Why? I really don't see that its a big deal. I haven't set out to upset or insult anyone, only to add to others' enjoyment. And judging by panos_yogi's response, it has been appreciated.

The original author has clearly abandoned this story so I see no harm in you continuing to develop and create how you would see the story unwind.
I must say that I am impressed with what you have written so far.
Very tastefully and sensitively treated.
Something else that caught my eye was the fact that out of all the people who commented, he only thanked you, for your interest.
So I think it fitting that you continue to entertain us.
I, for one, enjoyed your interpretation.

I guess, because I like to write, that I'm more sensitive to what peak is saying. Before the site glitch erased 2 day of comments, I had posted here saying that I too thought that taking over another's story (without the original author's approval) was a bit suspect, despite the fact that martin writes very well and did a nice job of sticking with the story.

The reamister you don't do it is that jaicee was here, as recently as Jan. 4, indicating he might write more - we should respect the fact that he may be only an occasional poster, for whatever reamister, or that he may never post again. Now, if he wants to come back and continue the tale himself at some point, he finds it has been hijacked.

Martin has indicated that he would delete his addition if asked, which is good, but still...
Question: Martin, did you try to PM jaicee to get his OK for this? Also martin, the cat is now out of the bag - you write well! How about a story of your own??

I understand the sentiment here but lets consider it a bit further. Every week, this section of the site gets thousands of hits from members and non members. All of that activity is sustained by less than a dozen decent writers and maybe two dozen occasional contributors. Most of the rest has the literary value of a cornflakes box, or less. To misquote Timmy the Tiger, "The're not great."

JC may be ill, he may have only occasional access, we don't know why he has chosen not to continue this story as this point, only that he has said he wants to. Lets give him some respect here. If any of you went on a world cruise and returned to find to find someone living in your house "because it was clearly abandoned" I think I know what you would think of it. (Unless perhaps they had an enormous 10" cock and your wife fancied the hell out of them, or perhaps we won't go there).

Martin can write, I really hope he chooses to. I would like to read his stories, but JC has created in a short space his own characters. We all perhaps have our own version of where they might go in the future. But I think that adding into JC's own thread in this way, without his apparent permission is akin to *******ping them. In my opinion, I think we should have a little more respect than that.

Thanks for all your comments. As I said, I have emailed jaiceeuk, and if he responds and asks me to take this down, I shall do so happily. I have n idea for another chapter, though, and I hope those who like what I have written will appreciate it. Coming soon.

Why should the man have to defend his thread at all? He created it, you didn't. If he chooses to never come back and write another word that should be his choice and he should be able to live out his days confident that he doesn't have to worry that his story will be defiled by an asshole like you.

Martinr, it's time for you to stop acting like a little boy and manup.

There are a number of stories out there that I wished that I'd written. but I didn't. There are numerous characters that I'd love to incorporate into my stories, but I have enough integrity to not do that.

Yesterday I suggested a compromise. Start your own thread. Credit the original author and his story and then write your continuation. Please, I beg you, have the decency to do it on your own thread. Don't make Jaiceeuk be the bad guy if he wants to preserve the integrity of his creation. Honor his work and preserve it for him.

If you can't understand this I can only conclude that you must be one of those pathetically sad people who has never done anything on his own and you have no appreciation or understanding for the people who have.

If you really want to manup you might try creating a story of your own. You'd be surprised at how much fun it is to create your own special cast of characters and then let them play out your permisteral fantasies.
