Advice on negative chastity cage anti slip

Hi all, hoping for some advice on my new flat & negative cage and how people get theirs to stay in place in general. When flacid I have no issue.. my "penis" is nicely tucked back into my body. As soon as I get aroused my "penis" starts pushing the cage down and away from my body until effectively I am semi errect and the cage is just a cap on the end of the penis hanging an inch or so down from where it should be held.

Do you use:
1) smaller rings so the tighter fit on your balls prevents slippage or
2) use the harness accessories to try and hold the cage in place.
