From our permisteral experience the CB 6000 and CB 6000 S are a great starter devise. They are great if your just starting out and they allow you and your keyholder to experiment with the chastity lifestyle. If you discover that chastity fits your lifestyle you can always move on to a more advanced custom metal cage.
The most important thing I can suggest is Keep It Clean, and Keep It Dry. The closed design of the CB series, or any kind of plastic tube design, is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria. The high heat and humidity can cause some skin irritation problems, which can ruin all the fun. A male yeast infection can take a week or ten days to clear up. I'd recommend regular, perhaps daily inspections, looking for any kind of problems.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to scare you, they are a great device, it's just a simple suggestion so you get the most out of it.
We found that the CB takes allot of maintenance to keep it clean. It had to come off almost daily, under supervision of-coarse, so I could clean it with a bottle brush. If removing it was inconvenient, I could shower with it on and do my best to wash it out with soap and a soft brush. A Qtip or blow dryer helped dry it out. Starting out with it dry helps to keep the humidity down.
I had to experiment a little with lubricants, but I found a little silicone based lube works great, mostly on the base ring. Other Cucks might suggest other lubes or baby oil, but you'll figure that out along the way.
One other thing we discovered was that Lace Panties really keep the humidity down and allow allot of ventilation, as opposed to Satin Panties.
Again, I'm not trying to scare you, the CB 6000 or CB 6000S are great starter devices. I just wanted to offer some suggestions based on our experience.
Once my wife learned the benefits of keeping my locked up, she decided to make it a permanent lifestyle. She ordered a custom made Jailbird from Mature Metal. It was a great investment. The open stainless steel design solved all the hygiene issues and can be worn permanently. It's easy to clean in the shower and never has to come off for cleaning.
But back to the CB series, I don't have any regrets, it was an economical way for us to start out. It was well worth it !
Have fun and I hope you both enjoy it !

Thanks Brian for lovely input. Have an option of metal cage too which is cheaper than cb 6000. So should I go for it ? Instead of cb 6000 ?

Brian, Almost a duplicate of your experience. Started with Cb6000s and was a good starter unit. Wifey and I learned all about chastity. The humidity and closed design is it's weakness, and measured and ordered Jailbird from MM. Great fit and wear 24/7. I too have only panties in my drawer. Both lace and microfiber which breathes. You are right for those considering this lifestyle, the CB is a good choice as it has many ring and spacer options. It is important to get your body adjusted and learn what works for you. Once you are comfortable with the idea, get the measuring rings from MM and carefully measure yourself. Google Pansy Tart, there are some good ideas about accurate measurement. If you get it right - it will fit like a watch - it is there of course, but it will very easy to wear 24/7.

Hi vince09 Getting the sizing right for a comfortable fit can be tricky. There are many brands of devices out there, but I would recommend choosing one that comes with several different sizes of base rings, and different spacers. It's kind of trial and error, trying different base rings and spacers until you get it dialed in. You might be in it for a very long time, so it's nice to have one with several options. The wrong fit can cause pinching and excruciating pain in the balls if you move the wrong way. Also the nocturnal erections can be unbearable if the cage isn't fitted properly. When experimenting with different rings and spacers it kinda goes from painful and unbearable, to irritating, to bearable, to comfortable, and lastly, so comfortable that you can wear it 24/7 and sometimes forget its there. Let your key holder know it can take a few days to get it dialed in and fitted properly. After being put in my CB 6000 S the first time, I had to change the spacer first thing in the next morning. The first morning erection was almost too painful. I made it through the first day at work, but then I had to change the base ring when I got home that night. I think I went two or three days after that, then changed the spacer again for a more comfortable fit. The balls have a tendency to fill up with a big load, but they also seem to swell and stretch as they hang out the base ring. Don't expect a perfect fit right off the bat. After about a year in the CB 6000 S, up to four weeks at a time, my wife started looking into the stainless steel cages. She quickly found the Mature Metal website. They do offer sizing rings that they can send out first before the custom sized one is ordered. Fortunately Mature Metal can use the measurements from the CB series to make the new Stainless Steel cage. A few emails back and forth is all it took to order it. It fit so well that my first lockup was ten weeks. But back to economical cages, is recommend one that has a few different options for rings and spacers. My only experience is with the CB but I was quite happy with the sizing options. My old CB 6000 S now sits on a shelf like a trophy in my wife's play room. The old CB cage is now a great conversation piece. Every time my wife brings home a new Man they always ask what it is, giving her the opportunity to proudly tell him about our lifestyle. Best of luck, you know what they say,"Be Careful What You Wish For" Oh, one last thought, you might want to check out Chastity Mansion, it's a great web site with lots of info in the forums.

Hi vince09
I had a similar problem with the base ring too. It kinda has to be done in an unexcited flaccid state. When we opened the box the first time, I was nowhere near unexcited or flaccid. My wife trying to help didn't make the situation any better either.
To get the base ring on the first time, I had to do it by myself, fresh out of the shower. I had pre lubed to base ring and tube before, then took a long shower. Getting out of the shower, I dried off then applied some more lube to my balls while still flaccid. That made it allot easier to get the base ring on.
Oh, one last thing, Balls First ! I found through trial and error, the best way for me to get the base ring on was to insert one ball at a time. Once I got both balls in the ring, I can tuck my cock through the ring.
Once the base ring is on, the rest is easy !
Does you cage have spacers that adjust to fit between the base ring and the cage tube ?

Hi vince09
If you could give us the make and model of your device, perhaps a picture or a link to their website, I'm sure someone here can help.
The picture that corey22901 posted above looks like a Bird Cage from Mature Metal. Obviously not all makes and models have spacers. My old CB had spacers but my new Bird Cage doesn't.
Once again though, the method that worked for me was putting the balls in the ring first, one at a time obviously. Once the ring was around the balls I can slip the penis through the top of the ring. ie: The Balls First Method. Also you have to be completely flaccid or limp. Any erection, or semi erection will make it difficult to impossible to get the ring on.
Some kind of lube is most likely required too, but you also have to be able to apply the lube without starting to get hard. Another idea is to put it on in the shower, using the water temperature to discourage any erection, and lots of soap for lubricant.
Best of luck !

I re read your question from yesterday and can only say what worked best for me
1: I have to get the balls in the ring, one at a time 2: I then pull the penis back and tuck it into the top of the ring. 3: Once the balls and penis are in the ring, the cage/tube can go on and can be locked.
Again, best of luck. !

Hi vince09
I have seen pictures of that cage, but don't know what it's called, other than the item number listed on the website. It does look to me to be a typical "ball trap" design just like the CB series or the Mature Metal series.
I can't really offer any new advise other than what I have mentioned above here. Simply take it apart, get the balls and penis in the ring, try balls first , then attach the cage.
From the picture it looks like the base ring might be two piece, is that correct ? Even if its a one or a two piece ring, the procedure is pretty much the same, get the ring on the balls and penis, then the cage.
Perhaps others here can help with advise too ?

yes it has 2 rings do i have to use both the rings ? if so how to do that ? as far as i understand i have to close the ring by the lock then slide one ball then the other and then slide the penis into the ring once that is done attacth the cage at the top ? is that right ?
