Not sure what you mean by 17/5, but I can tell you my experience as I've tried quite a few. Keep in mind that everyone is unique and people are bound to disagree as no two of us are the same down there. I started w/the cb2000. It seemed a little too small and the hinged rings did not agree with me, so I went to the Curve and solid rings. This was better but just not comfortable enough for me. I then tried 2 of the silicon ones (Bon4). It was a little more comfortable, but the ring seemed too thick for me. I'm about to order a custom made metal one from mature metal... this is my last attempt to get something I can live in 24/7. I'd start inexpensive w/a 2000 and work your way up... stop at the first one that works for you!
