Hadn't thought about this in quite a while, but I did have an experience as you described a couple years back. My Doc at the time had a habit of having Nurse Practitioners assist him in his practice. they seldom stayed more than six months or so, fulfilling a transistion period right out of school it seemed, until they moved on.
