- I concur with zinc, this is a great way to check when you don't have much time and take a look at the highlights, as you're doing a great job capturing the best of the best from the best artists, and there are quite a few here!

Thanks again Well, thank you. I guess I am a journalist at last! I did get the idea from Consumer Reports.....and Car & Driver, seriously. Not Siskel and Ebert. Consumer Reports rates cars and other items with dots (black is bad, white, of course, is better, Red is best. There are 6 levels. Solid red is best. Solid back is worst. Solid white is average. Car and Driver is more subjective - like me. There are many great cars in CR that rate solid black and many boring ones that rate at least partially red. Just like there are some 5 and 6 star artists who have some great work sometimes, but to get to 8, 9 10 or certainly 11, it has to be greater and more consistent. More or all of the time. Of course, to get to where you are, you have to be great. It's fun to see all this stuff, and I agree, a "Digest" is handy. I never thought of it that way. I think the rating just motivates people. Or pisses them off. But, as the King of all Critics, I worry little about such things. Keep up the great work! |
