As for "tasteful", it's subjective. Both of you make amazing captions. Personally, I like nibbler's style a little better but there is no question that you both are among the best on the internet. I've always been partial to the short "series" captions as I think that they allow a story to develop better by striking a good balance between amount of text and letting multiple pictures develop the story as well.
