Newbie Question

I need a better editor so I can add my longer captions to pics. Something that allows me to add a box on the side of the image etc. Anybody have anything good, free and for Mac?

gimp. It's free, and as close to photoshop as you can get without dropping cash. Here's the developer's link to the download page...

I build mine in Keynote. I suppose that isn't free but the entire iWork package is only something like $79. It is well worth it.

I use Gimp as well but it has an interface that
seems to have been built by Martians. Once
your use to it it's OK but it doesn't follow standard
Windows conventions.

You may want to try Paint.net. It's free has lots
of features and has an interface much more
like Photo Shop than Gimp.

In the end the tools are just tools. It's the ideas
that count. Good luck, I look forward to seeing
some of your work.
