Scene setting for a particular series.
The nation has launched a brand-new social justice initiative known as Permanent Incarceration Exchange (PIE). PIE trades a White man with no jail sentence for a Black man who is incarcerated and serving time in prison. Assuming full responsibility for the Black man's past, present, and future crimes, the White man serves the black man's sentence. Giving the Black man a fresh start in life and allowing him to begin from the white man's advantageous position is the goal.
In the event that the white man is married, the black man inherits the white man's family, assets, and real estate. Usually, the black man takes over the life of the white man and leads a prosperous life. The white man stoically serves his time in prison and is then freed to return to society to begin anew.
