Caps from a new guy, whatcha think?

No wonder

As a longtime member, I find it disturbing there is a monthly fee now.

People are going out of their way to produce "free" caps...and your CHARGING people to be able to post the content that you charge people to view?

This site is loaded with banners...there are other ways to produce revenue.

I was wondering why the site has started to suck lately. Less that half the amount of caption contributions, and all the good quality regular people are leaving.

I have only made a small contribution to captions, but I certainly will not be making anymore. There is no way this site will be charging people to view pictures I made for free, for the good of the lifestyle

I guess I can understand that a lot of people don't like what has happened to some of this site. It is however, still the best cuckold forum on the net. While it may now a be a fee site...it has to be a huge task to keep things up and running. This can't be easy to keep it going as smooth as it has been. With every internet site, things can sometimes go wrong.

It took a long time for me to cotribute to this site, mainly because until recently I had nothing to contribute. What I find frustrating, is that the mod/mods of this site are putting time and effort (and money?) into this site, providing and outlet to thousands of people with like minded thoughts and lifestyles. Other sites do provide this, but are not as good as this one.

Its very unfortunate that many people have left this site, some of those being huge contributors to this site. But being that this site spans many borders in many countries...did anyone forget that there are many different laws and regulations? Who is going to pay for the lawyer when this site is sued for copyright infringments? Or help out when some mornon posts something illegal? Running a site with as many "DIFFERENT" people on it can't be easy...to keep everyone happy all the time??? Thats not going to happen.

So, while many people have been offended, pissed off, or just they just gave up...(some will be missed, others not so much)...why can't these people of great contribution offer ways to help? Even if things don't go your way...(such is life)...don't give up. Many more people apreciate the works than don't. One would be hard pressed to find a site that offers this much. I don't agree with everything that happens on this site, but then again I am not the one putting in all the time to run it.

I am putting out a call to those great contributors that have left, please come back and give it another try. I think this is by far still the best cuckold forum/outlet...and we could use you to help keep it the best.

If its the biggest cuckold site on the net, then traffic is ridiculously high to this site, and banners and re-direct profit models are ceratinly there.

After thinking about it, I am sure this was the business model. Make a free site, gets tonnes of free content logged onto the site...then when there is 84 thousand users or so...turn around and start charging people a "small" fee.

Too funny. Why would people make caps for free here when they can sell them to "other" sites that are charging people to view their content?

Its a forum, not a pay porn site. If you want people to contribute and this site to remain a open. sharing place...then it has to remain free. Banner it up, do what you have to. Charging people? Bad Idea.

Jeff Meagor and RGM185 and others are gone....whats the point even now? Who wants to pay for people posting about their "fake wives" or reading about desperate sissies begging for a Bull to take over their computer? Who wants to pay to sift through thousands of posts looking for the low numbered real wife posts here? Content has been sliding downhill all summer and I had no idea why...

...then I find out there is a fee now. Mystery solved.

Why should they pay to write

I have to agree, I think it is BS and I have not posted here myself for sometime I also got an offer to do caps for a pay site and they pay me for my time. this should not be a pay site.

I guess I didn't really think about the banners on the site...and I have seen a couple other forums with banners...that are free. Still not as good as this one.

While I don't remember some of the people that have left...I do miss some of the others. (NickCuck, you are one of my favorites) Its frustrating for me in that, I was one of those wanna-be lurkers for a long time, and now that my wife has cuckolded me...many of the people(and their works) are leaving. She has recently taken to browsing this forum with me. I can easily say that this site helped in my journey to being a cuckold.

To those that are leaving, thank you for your time and efforts.

I guess I joined long enough ago that I don't get charged any kind of fee (though I'm a bit worried that by mentioning that I'll suddenly have my membership dropped for falling through the pay cracks), but I am concerned about this site's ability to draw new members.

Without new members willing to produce new content, this site as an open forum to cuckold fetishists, and more recently all kinky people with any fetishes at all, simply cannot stand.

Perhaps it will transition into some kind of cuckold content pay site and the forum will become a far smaller part of the business model, but it saddens me that a site that has always been known for such a wide array, and such a tremendous amount, of user created content would change so drastically.

I too have noticed the reduction in content production lately, and I'm beginning to wonder just how many people are jumping ship...and where on earth they're going so I can follow.

I like making captions, and I like reading captions, but if the best captioners are going somewhere else, I'd love to know where that is.

Was there ever an official comment from the Mr. Big Cuckold or the other mods or admins about it becoming a pay site? I find this disturbing, especially since they didn't seem to make any effort to inform us of the change.

From my perspective, charging a fee is good and bad, but mostly bad. It creates a new revenue stream, but I think it diminishes future returns on advertising by limiting traffic. I would never have joined this site if I had to pay, and I wager there are many like minded fetishists out there. I've been a member here for several years, and only recently started to contribute content to the site. There's always going to be turnover among the sites captioners and contributors. Greg Martin died, rmg is leaving due to changes in site policy, captainjack hasn't posted in months, etc. If you want to let new talent develop, you need to encourage people to join the site and find a role to fill. That seems how you would build traffic and revenue. By discouraging people from joining the site, you're shrinking the pool of possible contributors. Without new content, how will you find new members?

I hope that this doesn't offend the management of Cuckold Place. I really like this site, and I intend to continue posting here as well as at the forum I set up, but if some people have a problem with the pay aspect, I believe that they should have another option.

And, being as I have some currently unused space, it might as well be hosted at my site for now.
