I'm not aware of anyone being arrested for 2257 simply for reposting a pic that is obviously over 18.

I'm not talking about people who sell or produce, I'm talking about people who simply repost a pic as I have done below.

If I'm wrong, please post the name of the permister and court case here: ____________________________________


I've posted hundreds of movies and pics on here and elsewhere and will continue to do so. The odds of having anyone knock on my door because I don't have 2257 compliance on file for posting a pic such as the one below is about the same as me being hit my lightning.

With that being said, if you're truly paranoid, just use a proxy such as hidemyass.com and re-register and post away. That will make it difficult enough to find you so they won't bother.

(I did not say impossible, I said 'difficult'. There are more professional proxies you can get that are impossible. But just for posting obviously-legal pics? hidemyass is fine)

i would love to find a place to keep sharing, but from what i've read, this 2257 BS would apply to any public site on-line.

I give up.

The key is probably circumventing all the bull by having the site moved overseas. If it is a non-US site, then US law wouldn't apply, correct? Any attorney's out there?

That is correct, 2257 only applies to the USA, it does not even apply to Canada

what if you just include a statement about where you got the pic from. Like a discalimer. That you found it posted at bla bla bla site and simply captioned it.

The caption makes the pic anyways....
