An old thread, but some of my favorites with plots and actors:
Henry & June - 1990
Maria de Medeiros as Anais Nin Richard E. Grant as Hugo Fred Ward as Henry Miller Uma Thurman as June Miller
In 1931 in Paris, France, Anais Nin is in a stable relationship with her husband Hugo, but longs for more out of life. When Nin first meets Henry Miller, he is working on his first novel. Nin is drawn to Miller and his wife June, as well as their bohemian lifestyle. Nin becomes involved in the couple's tormented relationship, having an affair with Miller and also pursuing June. Ultimately, Nin helps Miller to publish his novel, Tropic of Cancer, but catalyzes the Millers' separation, while she returns to Hugo.
Nin cheats on her clueless husband Hugo with Miller and June in a series of sexy soft-core scenes. Ward (as Miller) plays the perfect tough guy Dom, and Grant (as Hugo) the perfect beta cuckold.
Eyes Wide Shut - 1999
Tom Cruise as Dr. William "Bill" Harford Nicole Kidman as Alice Harford Sidney Pollack as Victor Ziegler Sky du Mont as Sandor Szavost
Wife Alice shocks husband Bill with her sexual fantasy about a stranger, leading Bill on an odyssey of frustration and obsession. Kidman is stunning in her portrayal of the ultimate potential hotwife as she is pursued by the Hungarian Szavost at a holiday party for the rich. Also stunning are Kidman's brief vignettes as she fucks her fantasy officer in Bill's imagination. Layers upon layers of depth in Kubrick's final masterpiece just before his death.
Husbands and Lovers - 1991
Julian Sands as Stefan Joanna Pacula as Alina Tcheky Karyo as Paolo
Young cinematographer Stefano and his wife Alina, who cannot have c h i l d r e n, sincerely love each other, but have made the pact of being an "open couple"; that is to be able to betray oneself freely. Even if he has some quick and occasional adventures, it is above all the woman, restless and dissatisfied, who seeks other emotions, and therefore, having become the lover of the musician Paolo. She tells her husband that she has decided to divide the week between two men. Despite suffering deeply, Stefano, who loves her very much, accepts her decision, but from that moment on he is tormented by all the pains of jealousy.
Hot scenes of Alina showering and dressing to go to her lover Paolo as her husband Stefan watches. Pacula is gorgeous as the matter-of-fact hotwife who leaves her husband on weekends to fuck her lover Paolo. Sands plays the angst-ridden husband perfectly.
Bitter Moon - 1994
Peter Coyote as Oscar Emmanuelle Seigner as Mimi Hugh Grant as Nigel Kristin Scott Thomas as Fiona
British couple Fiona (Dame Kristin Scott Thomas) and Nigel (Hugh Grant) are sailing to Istanbul en route to India. They encounter a beautiful French woman, and that night, Nigel meets her while dancing alone in the ship's bar. Later, he meets her crippled American husband Oscar (Peter Coyote), who tells him their story. While living in Paris for several years trying to be a writer, he becomes obsessed with a woman he met by chance on a bus. He tracks her down and they start a steamy love affair. Soon, Oscar finds himself enslaved body and soul by her love, and continues to tell Nigel the details of this relationship in various stages over several visits to Oscar's cabin.
Breathtaking scene of Mimi cuckolding Oscar as she dances with a young Black friend in front of him, then takes him to their bed. K S Thomas is the "proper" English wife of "proper" English husband Nigel, both enticed into the bizarre sexual relationship of Oscar and Mimi. Thomas is mesmerizing as she hints at her "not so proper" response to events around her. Both women in the film are delicious and confident in their own skin, sirens in their own very different ways.
Hitch Hike - 1978
Corinne Clery as Eve Franco Nero as Walter David Hess as Adam
Walter Mancini is an egotistical newspaper editor who is driving across California with his spiteful wife, Eve, on a weekend getaway to save their troubled marriage. But things take a turn when they pick up a stranded motorist, named Adam, who takes them hostage revealing himself to be a fugitive running from both the police and his two accomplices after robbing a bank and making off with all the loot. But things are not always as they seem as Walter and Eve try to find a way to not only get rid of their unwanted car guest, but find a way to deal with each other when both see the tempting offer of the stolen $2 million in cash Adam always has on him.
Blistering cuckold scene where Adam ties up husband Walter and fucks his wife Eve. She resists at first, then is seduced by the s k i l l s of their hostage-taker. Eve glares at her husband while Adam fucks her, showing him she enjoys every second. Corinne Clery is delicious, as she was in Story of O and the Emmanuelle films, all worth watching as she's a woman very willingly shared with other men.
A n i m a l Instincts - 1992
Shannon Whirry as Joanna Cole Maxwell Caulfield as David Cole
A cop and his sexually frustrated wife are struggling to keep their failing marriage intact, when by chance they discover that he is a voyeuristic peeping tom. To satisfy him, his wife has numerous affairs, which her husband watches on closed-circuit television.
Not exactly "mainstream", but one of the most-watched cuckold films for its theme-related content. Husband David comes home early to find the delicious, frustrated Joanna fucking a stranger in their bed. He chases the guy off, but immediately wants to fuck her himself. With the surprising hotwife seed planted, he begins to watch her fuck strangers via a cam in the next room, and Joanna gladly complies. Whirry was an adult film sensation in her day, with a luscious full figure, large breasts, and a beautiful face to match. This is soft-core, but her sex scenes are beautifully done and show off her body in ways that made her famous. Whirry IS the ultimate hotwife. Production values are pretty good for a B movie. This one's a keeper.
The Shout - 1979
Alan Bates as Charles Crossley Susannah York as Rachael John Hurt as Anthony
Bored while officiating a cricket match at a psychiatric hospital, Crossley tells Graves (a visitor) the tale of a mysterious stranger (also named Crossley) who invades the lives and house of a local musician and his wife. The stranger claims knowledge of real magic, which he uses to displace his host and dominate his wife. The musician must find a way to combat Crossley and his seemingly implacable powers. Graves doubts Crossley's claim that the story is true, and begins to believe that Crossley is actually one of the patients.
A rather strange film about a mysterious visitor (Crossley) who may (or may not) have magical powers over others. He slowly dominates the married couple Rachel and Anthony, f o r c i n g the husband to a beta position and seducing the wife. There are very few nude scenes, but the film projects a constant sexual tension while it builds to the seduction of the wife. The husband's displacement is shocking at times, as is the wife's inexplicable s u b m i s s i o n to the stranger. Does Crossley have magical powers, or is the couple's relationship ripe for the consequences? Don't miss the breakfast scene...
Blue Sky - 1994
Jessica Lange as Carly Marshall Tommy Lee Jones as Frank Marshall Powers Boothe as Vincent Johnson
It's the early 1960s. Nuclear engineer Hank Marshall is a major in the US Army, who works on top-secret nuclear testing projects. Trouble follows him from posting to posting largely because of his mentally unstable wife, Carly Marshall, who is bipolar. During her manic phases, her already overt sexuality, which she models after such sex symbols as Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot, is ratcheted up a notch, that partying behavior which is mixed with less frequent phases of physically destructive behavior. Regardless, Hank and Carly love each other, Hank who would admit to himself that he enjoys the fact that other men find Carly attractive, which is partly why he allows her to act the way she does in public. In turn, they mutually love their now two teenaged d a u g h t e r s, Alex and Becky. Reassigned from their two-year posting in Hawaii largely due to the ruckus Carly has caused there, they are next sent to Alabama, the base under the command of Vince J oh n s o n, his wife, Vera, who heads the wives' welcoming committee. At an age of starting to test her own sexuality, Alex starts to date the Johnsons' s o n, Glenn. Due to no fault of his own, Hank faces some problems in the latest project on which he is working, code-named Blue Sky. And Carly continues her regular behavior, which catches Vince's overtly wandering eye. These items in combination lead to the potential of the Marshalls' home life being pulled apart and Hank's career destroyed, both irreparably.
Lange's at her sexiest here, as the sex-hungry wife of Hank, an Army major. Lange exudes sex from the early seconds of the film and ramps things up throughout, eventually fucking Hank's commander Vincent while Hank's away. Lange plays the sexy exhibitionist and sex-starved wife to perfection. A little skin, but mostly it's how Lange is utterly convincing as the wildly uninhibited cuckoldress.
Survival Island - 2006
Billy Zane as Jack Kelly Brook as Jennifer Juan Pablo di Pace as Manuel
Jack & Jennifer take a private cruise with friends. Manuel is a staff member who catches Jen's eye. Thanks to a chain of events sparked off between a dispute concerning Jack and Manuel, a fire breaks out and the ship blows up and sinks. Jen and Mannuel seem to be the only survivors to wash up on an island...but before long Jack shows up lying in a rock pool...and here's where the tale turns nasty.
After being marooned on the island, tensions build between Jack and Manuel. Jennifer tires of Jack's angry, boorish behavior, and takes up with Manuel who feeds her and takes care of her. She begins fucking Manuel, which drives Jack crazy. Production values are good for a B movie, but the real draw here is mouth-watering Kelly Brook's naked body shown in abundance. Jack's angst is palpable almost sympathetic, if only he wasn't such an asshole. Worth watching for Kelly alone...
Funland - 2005
Sarah Smart as Lola Sutton Kris Marshall as Dudley Sutton Ian Puleston-Davies as Shirley Woolf Philip Jackson as Leo Finch
A BBC Three series. On his first night in Blackpool, Dudley is inveigled by Finch into joining a game of poker, where he loses £3,000. When he says that he is penniless, Finch tells him that his wife will have to earn the money for him. Lola is f o r c e d to become a stripper at Mercy's club. Initially terrified, she discovers both that she is good at it and that she enjoys it. Later, Shirley Woolf offers her £1,000 pounds for sex. Dudley encourages her to do it, and stays to watch in case she needs him to intervene, but is upset when he sees that she enjoys it more than she ever enjoyed sex with him.
The cuckold centerpiece is the scene where Woolf fucks Lola (Dudley's wife) on their bed while he watches. By the time he's done with her, she's moaning and gasping - the look on Dudley's face is one of both surprise and horror. Sarah Smart is great playing the frustrated wife of a loser husband. Random shots of her being pounded from behind, and of her pre-orgasmic face as he fucks her.
Magic City - 2012
Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Ike Evans Olga Kurylenko as Vera Evans Danny Huston as Ben Diamond Jessica Marais as Lily Diamond
A Starz streaming serial. As Frank Sinatra rings in a new year in the grand ballroom of Miami Beach's most luxurious dream palace - the Miramar Hotel - its visionary leader, Ike Evans, must deal with the Mob, his complicated family and a city in the midst of dramatic change as Fidel Castro takes control of Cuba, just 200 miles offshore. By day the hotel at the center of 'Magic City' is all diving clown acts and cha-cha lessons by the pool, but at night Miami Beach reveals a darker truth. Dopers, dealers, strippers, gangsters and those who arrest them drift together to hear the top nightclub acts perform. Just beneath the surface, racial tensions stir. Ike must deal with all of this, even while global intrigue is brewing right under his roof.
When mob boss Ben Diamond solicits evidence his wife Lily has been fucking the bartender at the casino, he pulls her violently from their pool in her bikini and threatens to k i l l both of them. She looks up at him and spits her answer in his face:
"He fucked me, Ben. I couldn't get enough. He fucked me till I couldn't walk, and I crawled to him naked on all fucking fours - and I begged him to fuck me some more! He fucked me in your car. We did it in your car, slipping all over those leather seats, baby. We were sliding around those leather seats. You were driving around sitting on the juices from my wet, hot cunt."
Ben slides to his knees, holding her desperately, now excited. "Did he suck you?" he begs, gasping for breath.
[Lily] "He sucked me - he bit me." [Ben] "Tell me more. Tell me more." [Lily] "I know what you like, baby. I know. I like it too. Let me give it to you. I can make it good for you."
Ben turns her around and fucks her doggy style while he looks at the Polaroids taken of her with her lover from the room above.
That's the trigger. After that, Ben has a one-way mirror/window put in the ceiling over their bed so he can watch her fuck her lover.
It's a visual delight otherwise, the Miami Beach locations and beautiful people. Lots of skin, but a real plot as well. A keeper for sure...
Unfaithful - 2002
Richard Gere as Edward Summer Diane Lane as Connie Summer Olivier Martinez as Paul Martel
Connie Sumner has a loving husband, a beautiful home, and a wonderful s o n, but she wants more. When she's approached one day by a handsome stranger while trying to hail a taxi, she becomes obsessed with him and eventually starts an affair. But her selfish actions soon catch up with her.
Slick production values and big stars here, but that doesn't diminish the sexual tension as Connie cheats on her husband Edward with Paul in a series of soft-core sex scenes. Lane is gorgeous and believable as the housewife tempted beyond her ability to resist her younger lover.
Indecent Proposal - 1993
Robert Redford as John Demi Moore as Diana Murphy Woody Harrelson as David Murphy
A happily married young couple, David Murphy and Diana Murphy have started their respective careers, she as a real estate broker, he as an architect. She finds the perfect spot to build his dream house, and they get loans to finance it. When the recession hits, they stand to lose everything they own, so they go to Las Vegas to have one shot with their last five thousand dollars at winning the money they need. After losing at the tables, they are approached by a suave billionaire and high-stakes gambler, John Gage, who offers them a million dollars for a night with Diana. Indignant but already seduced, Diana and David reluctantly agree. They say money can't buy love. Though the couple agrees that this is a way out of their financial dilemma, it threatens to destroy their relationship. Can the husband and wife survive John's ultimate test?
Another A-list film with great production values and big stars. For me, this did diminish the reality somewhat - the actors were too well-known to draw me into their emotional states. Still, it is an interesting theme with great cuckold potential. Harrelson plays the hapless husband well, and Moore is mouth-watering as his wife (although probably much too hot for him in real life). Moore has a few nude scenes, and isn't afraid to show it all. Not a bad movie, just a bit too slick for my tastes...
Flower & Snake - 2004
Aya Sugimoto as Shizuko Toyama
Tôyama, a weak-willed businessman, is in debt to the Yakuza; they also have a video of him bribing a government minister. To clear his debts, he agrees to let them d r u g and k i d n a p his wife Shizuko, Japan's queen of the tango, and subject her to the proclivities of a 95-year-old voyeur, who's a Yakuza boss. After a masked ball, Shizuko is taken prisoner; she fights her captors, submitting only when the life of Kyôko, her female bodyguard, is threatened. Tôyama feels regret and seeks to buy back Shizuko, but by this time, she may be enjoying her situation. Is she, or is she pretending in order to protect herself and Kyôko? Would she want a way out if there is one?
Incredibly hot Aya Sugimoto stars as Shizuko,a bored and unfulfilled wife of a wealthy businessman. When her husband is blackmailed by the Yakuza, Shizuko is sold to Oyabun Tashiro as payment. Tashiro quickly places Shizuko in a private S&M show for an elite audience in order to satisfy his own unfulfilled sexual needs. Shizuko is then subjected to sexual h u m i l i a t i o n in front of the masked audience. Heavy BDSM, a beautiful innocent wife taken and used, at first against her will, then willingly. Beautifully shot with high production value.
Flower & Snake II - 2005
Aya Sugimoto as Shizuko Toyama
Aging critic and patron of the arts Takayoshi Tooyama (Jô Shishido) sends his drop-dead gorgeous young wife Shizuko (Aya Sugimoto) to Paris to report on the progress of painter Ikegami (Ken'ichi Endô), whom he has sponsored for the past ten years. To her consternation, Shizuko discovers that Ikegami has been less than prolific, having completed none of his paintings. Things change, however, when the artist adopts Shizuko as his muse, convincing her to pose for an erotic piece based on sado-masochism; soon, the pair become lovers, their passion fuelled by tight ropes and intricate knots.
Much like Flower & Snake 1, lots of BDSM and nudity, and Sugimoto is gorgeous. Both are recommended for those with an interest in shibari (rope bondage).
Delta of Venus - 1995
Audie England as Elena Costas Mandylor as Lawrence (Elena's lover)
An American writer (Audie England) in Paris starts writing erotic fiction. From encouragement from her friends, her lover, and her publisher she gets involved in nude modeling and progresses onward through many other forms of voyeuristic and participatory sexual adventures. A series of vignettes follow her adventures and imaginative fantasies. Inspired by the short story collection Delta of Venus by Anais Nin.
While hanging at a park, the writer Elena (Audie England) observes the actions of a rich couple. The husband is old while the wife is young and pretty. The husband looks at a young guy at a distance and turns towards his wife and says something to her. The wife nods her head. The husband stands up and approaches the guy. He talks to the guy while turning his head towards his wife like he is talking to him about her. The young guy looks at the wife and seems to nod approvingly. Elena uses this scenario in writing one of her stories. She envisions that the wife is being screwed by a blindfolded guy on top of a table while her husband watches. She remarks that "her husband's pleasure comes from watching her, while her pleasure comes from being watched". That alone couldn't be any closer to home for L and me.
The NC-17 version contains graphic sex scenes (sans genitalia). A Zalman King production, lots of skin, beautifully filmed, with beautiful people. Artfully done. A keeper.
