With every couple I was involved with, I had an unbroken rule. Open and honest communication. It was the only way to respect (and push) boundaries.

Unlike "religious" leaders that are hung up on symbolism and so-called "traditional" roles, we see marriage as a contract.

The most important aspects being love, truth, loyalty, communication and self-awareness. With those virtues, even in the most extreme cuckold relationships, you have a strong foundation that can endure almost anything.

I'm glad Falwell got exposed. All his years of preaching fire and brimstone while allowing himself to be an exception to his own rules finally caught up with him.

JF is an attorney and I have met him a couple times - a VERY inteligent guy. He took over a school, that like most church-based colleges, was in financial trouble.

They are just now completing a $500M construction binge and now they have about 18,000 students in per*** and over 100,000 online students (largest in US). Flights school, medical school, law school, etc and debt free. They are the real deal and have more money than they know how to spend. JF is the architect of this recovery.

The thing that is so annoying about them is their contempt and condemnation of anybody who has a different view of morality, especially sexual morality, than they do. Jerry may not be a preacher, but he is an outspoken homophobe, as is his wife. And they have been proponents of the "traditional" marriage relationships between one man and one woman, and they express contempt for anyone who doesn't subscribe to that. They also are vocal supporters of a president who is adored by like-minded "evangelicals" but who also actively cheats on his wife with prostitutes, etc, then lies about it in the face of overwhelming evidence. Even though we knew before that they were not "special members of God's family", etc it is nice to see the proof being made public. Anyone who denies their sexuality is lying and to condemn another for being different in their approach to sexuality is simply mean. And that's what they are. They may be rich, but they are not good people and that is more important.

I am always suspicious of people who act holier than thou and who expect others to adhere to their strict code of conduct, especially when it comes to sex. They are often very hypocrites. Students at Liberty University were expected to toe the line. I admire people who recognize that we are, first and foremost, sexual beings and that we need to express our sexuality in ways that are not always traditional. If Jerry were just an ordinary citizen I would say more power to him and his wife, but he advocated a very narrow view of sexuality, a view that he was not living.
