STD test for bull - How do you get them and how does it work ???

My wife and I may have found what we've been looking for - finally !! However our next step is requiring him to take a STD test. What is the best way to go about this ? Does 1 test cover ALL STD diseases or do you have to take different ones to test for each different STDs? Any place recommended in Orlando ?Are the results given right there or is it days latter ? How much ? Are the results told directly to us or him ? We have NO CLUE about how this all works. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Its still in the bureaucratic morass, but hopefully in a year or 2 you'll be able to do the same same hiv test at home that the clinics use. Saliva swab and results in 20 min.

My experience at the health clinic here in Honolulu is that they absolutely will not give you written "clean bill of health". You get the results in permister. I was always clean. My guess is you would have to go to private doctor. Did you check the yellow pages? Go to a seedy adult bookstore pick up one of the typically free local sex guides. Check the ads in there. Also check local "alternative" newspaper.

A few pointers:

(1) first, chill out with the discussion board rage; people are busy and might take a couple of days to get around to replying even if they want to help.

(2) there are lots of places you can send someone for an STD panel; Planned Parenthood will do it cheap or free, and it is anonymous, quick and there are lots of clinics around. Remember that the next time a politically active friend tells you it is time to cut funding to planned parenthood!

(3) A basic panel will cover all the major things - clap, syphylus, HIV, etc. BUT, I don't think there is a test for HPV in men. This one is very common and, though generally symptomless, can have bad consequences for a woman (increased cervical cancer risk).

(4) Remember that incubation periods for most STD's are on the order of a month. So, an STD test is a decent measure of someone's sexual health as of a few weeks ago, but not on the day it is given.

(5) Once your test is done, still use a condom for intercourse, don't do anal with or without a condom, and don't let him cum in her mouth. This is just good sense and is common practice in communities of people who commonly share partners in the real world (i.e., swingers). Fantasies about cum drenched orifaces are cool and everything, but not worth it. Safe sex = good sex in this community.

You will have to look for the hpv bumps on his penis and sac. They look like warts or raised bumps that can be the same color as his skin. Keep in mind that experts say an extimated 80% of sexually active people have been exposed to the hpv virus. But that doesn't necessarily mean they're having an outbreak... You could be a carrier and never have an outbreak.

+1 with planned parenthood. Here in st louis it costs about $75 for the testing. And if she goes in with him to fill out the paperwork he can put her name on the hippa form so they will share the info with her as well.

BUT, I don't think planned parenthood will do the hep C test which is also important if you're having unprotected sex, and they won't be able to screen for herpes either unless he's having an active outbreak.

Not sure if that is good enough though because it seems there are other diseases to worry about.

Even most doctors aren't aware of this test. Mine wasn't. You can test for herpes even without an outbreak or any other symptoms.
