Which finger for wedding ring

My wife already wears an ankle bracelet on her right leg 24/7. I have seen some discussion on wearing the wedding ring set on the middle finger. Is this another hot wife signal? If so which hand? I am considering having my wife's set resized or buying another set sized for the middle finger. Also any information on thumb rings or tow rings being read as a signal would be helpfull.
