Swingtown

Any other wannabe cucks catch their normally prude wifey watching the new series Swingtown? Not only did I find my wife watching it, but she had taped it. Could there be hope for me yet?

As a bull, I'm hoping that very effect will spread like wildfire across the U.S. and perhaps we can bring back the 70's mentality of free love and good times again. So, here's to Swingtown lasting for many seamisters!

I'm confused about cocheez's comment. I looked over the thread and didn't see any sort of mention of abandoning the use of love-gloves during this new hypothetical sex renaissance.

Jane and I watched the pilot a couple of times, and though it suffers a bit from pilot-itis (as most pilots do), we both really enjoyed it and think it has good potential. The first time we watched it, it was just to catch the show. The second time it was foreplay.

Hopefully it'll stick around long enough for my wife to start thinking and asking questions.

Well, the 2nd Episode was much tamer, turning it into more of a "Desperate Housewives" sort of drama...emphasis on the interpermisteral dynamics between friends in suburban America. But if they keep up the track they are going, I think it has less of a chance of being cancelled...since it won't aggitate the conservatives so much. Though they need to make sure they still sprinkle the seeds of swinging in it. Like the friend's daydream about the swinger couple showing up suddenly in her house.

Well, we've had 4 episodes now, and it still seems to be going strong...with plenty of people watching thus far. So, it could bode well for it's overall survivability. Permisterally I've been quite pleased with it on many levels...writing, acting, soundtrack selection, plot hooks, etc... Here's to hoping everyone else continues to see the same.

Very entertaining and fun show so far. My wife likes it also. I don't think it's going to turn her into a swinger, but it may open her mind a little.

I think the show will have a detrimental effect on the swinging community at large. People who really aren't swingers will start using the vernacular and youngren that are allowed to watch it, may notice that their friend's parents use a lot of the terms and the rumors will fly. Most swinging couples we know are closeted and wish to remain that way.

We swing for real so don't need a show to tell us what it is like. I hope it disappears quickly.

'Weeds' is much better show lol imho

I haven't watched it at all! I don;t think it will last. If they wanted it to be realalistic they would have made the show take part in modernday not in the 1970's when everyone was snorting coke and going to disco's. But maybe that is the picture they wanted to paint. People like us are horrible have users.
