I never used the spermacide with my diaphragm after the first time. And because I get cramps real bad when I use my diaphragm, I don't put it in BEFORE having sex with anyone (except hubby). I always wait until we are well in to things, and then tell them I have to out it in IF I am to avoid pregnancy...I am AMAZED at the number of guys that REALLY don't want me to put it in despite my assurance that I would NOT abort if I got pregnant. And how many of them that, once i do insert it, ask me if I will remove it as it causes them discomfort...I AWAYS do too!! SO exciting!!
