you havnt got the correct codecs installed. and if you are using vista I cant help you sort it. as i still cant make mine work. try downloading vlcplayer, type it into google. its free and plays ALL video files, even if they are corrupted

First try 3ivx.com - there codecs handle many common formats
if that doesnt work download a shareware program called g-spot - it doesnt play videos but it DOES tell you which codecs are required, then you can goodle for those codecs and add them.

However - make sure you scan ANY download for viruses - its an easy way to get people to load nasties thinking they are doing the right thing
