The 80/20 Rule

A year or so ago I happened across the following:

Vilfredo Pareto (1848-1923) was an Italian economist who, in 1906, observed that twenty percent of the Italian people owned eighty percent of their country's accumulated wealth. While gardening he later observed that 20% of the peapods in his garden yielded 80% of the peas that were harvested. And thus was born a theory that has stood the test of time and scrutiny. The Pareto Principle or the 80:20 Rule has proven its validity in a number of other areas, such as corporate inventory management, where it's well known that 20% of a company's inventory items represent 80% of the company's total inventory $ value.

So, I started thinking about how the 80/20 rule might be applied to the human population? The problem I had was deciding how to apply "value" to humans. Intelligence? Yes, but how to accurately test for true intelligence? Dick size? Perhaps, but do larger dicks actually represent more value? Then it hit me; the 80/20 rule is a natural law, and natures primary responsibility regarding humans is evolution! In other words, nature's primary concern is the evolutionary "value" of the human gene pool, and the 80/20 rule is a natural law; which means that 20% of the human population posesses 80% of the total evolutionary value of the total human gene pool. Which means that, if lady nature had her way, 20% of the human population would produce 80% of the youngren (1 out of 5 men would sire 4 out of 5 youngren. Stated differently, between 3 and 4 out of 5 husbands would be cuckolds)!!! (Please let me know if you detect any flaws in my logic.)

The other day I stured accross something that "might" be related to this subject (see The hyperlink is visible to registered members only! ). According to their research, 20% of penises measure larger than 6", which is, according to them, the average penis size (thickness and balls size also play a part in their calculations). They also report that men with 7" or larger dicks fuck significantly more than men with smaller dicks. Perhaps larger penises are valued more by nature?

I find this information fascinating. Is it possible that cuckolds are merely acting upon nature's calling? Is the urge to be cuckolded natures way of ensuring human evolution? As e humans evolove, will cuckoldry eventually become as prevalent as monogamy is today? After all, what better gift could a man give his youngren than a genetic upgrade!? Cuckolds unite!!! <g>
