5. Focus your suggestions on one goal at a time. Don't try to use one suggestion for solving 2 different problems at the same time.

6. Use only positive words. Avoid using the words such as can't or won't etc. Intead, use words such as can, will etc. to send positive signals.

7. Keep suggestions general. Don't use thought-provoking phrases.

8. Use cue words or phrases to emphasize suggestions. Cue words are especially helpful in posthypnotic suggestions if your goal involves habit control.

9. Select images to augment direct and posthypnotic suggestions. Imagination is very powerful process. When you take a memory in long term recall it and think about it you store it in short term memory.

I think you went about it the wrong way. REM ***** doesn't start until at least 90 minutes. But I find it best to wait until about 3 hours. Then you need to whisper when she goes into rem. (Eyes fluttering and short quick breaths). Use a quiet low voice. Definitely don't do it with the tv on.
