The vengeance option has never worked. Your attitude in fact makes you very similar to Muslim terrorists.
You people keep missing the point, I don't care if they're similar to Christians, or Jews, or any other organized religion. Let me try and make this clear, in the beginning of civilization man needed to be controlled by something, it was necessary to form a civilization, rather than a bunch of mongrels running around doing whatever they wanted. A few smart people figured FEAR was the best motivator,,,next they needed something the people would all fear, enter the boogie man, "if you do that the boogie man will get you",,,with all this enlightenment, man discovered self awareness and that he was gonna die someday, not being able to deal with his own mortality he invented the gods, they were gonna save him so long as he did their bidding. Enter the priests, a bunch of misguided lazy individuals that realized their congregation would support them as long as they believed, so making sure they kept believing was paramount. To make a long story short, I go through life like everybody else, doing all the day to day cuckolds brownie we all do, until I come across a Senator that says God is in his corner, or a businessman that says the same thing, you see, to me it's like I was looking at a couple of 3 year olds in a sandbox fighting over the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Santa Claus,,,now take those kids and grow them up and put them in charge of the world. You gotta be fuckin kiddin me, these people are cavemen, idoits, sure religious values are a good template to run your life by, but you don't really need them, all you need is one tenet, "do unto others,,,etc. That's it, that covers everything,,,so, where does that leave organized religion, well, it's the number one *******er of your fellow man since the beginning of time, that's what it's excelled at, is that what you're defending? I could be sitting in a room of friends when the discussion turns to religion, after I express my views invariably I get strange looks and people claiming they believe in Christ,,,okay, Christ existed, so did Mohammed, Buddha and all the rest, but suddenly my friend has become an idoit, right before my eyes. I can laugh, play, hangout and party with them all day, but deep down inside I've lost respect for them. After WWII an expedition went to some backwoods islands near Borneo, they found the people there had created a God they worshipped, they made it by interweaving twigs and branches in the shape of a Piper Cub,,,an observation plane that crashed there during the war,,,nobody's gonna sit next to Christ in heaven, Chist died 2 thousand years ago, nobody's gonna wallow in 72 virgins, no Valhalla, no Mount Olympus. I hold the same amount of respect for the intelligence in those people, as I do for the movers and shakers with big mouths today. I don't care if you went to Harvard, Princeton, Yale or Oxford, I don't care how many degrees you have, if you buy into organized religion you're an idiot, and if you want to ******* me because you buy into it, I want you off my fuckin planet, any way I can,,,period!
